Forest School Through the Seasons follows the turning year as it’s experienced outdoors. Hazel catkins and snowdrops give way to bluebells and hawthorn blossom. Summer brings frogs and snails in the long grass, and autumn brings mushrooms, blackberries and holly. Robins and owls keep watch through it all. Nature words in Irish, month by month
Each month includes a selection of nature words in Irish. Celebrating ten years
This calendar arrives as the IFSA marks ten years, from 2016 to 2026. It’s a small celebration of the outdoor learning community that has grown across Ireland over the past decade, and of the natural world that sits at the heart of Forest School.
